My tour had a good mix of tranquility pastoral treks along with the the hustle of historical towns/cities. I enjoyed the peaceful solitude of a lunch of bread and cheese while watching the daily rural scenery. The old town squares offered a chance of an afternoon beer or coffee while soaking up the local atmosphere. These are experiences you will not get with a bus or car tour. Yes it does rain, but the feeling of warmth as the sun breaks through into a ultra blue sky is truly a silver lining.

My daughter and I had a fantastic biking experience. The first two days were jam-packed with experiences as we biked through the busy areas between Amsterdam and Utrecht, and between Utrecht and Den Bosch. Then came the two quieter days, mostly riding through the countryside. It then picked up the pace again in the last day and a half, after Roermond. Finishing the trip in Maestricht was that cherry on top of the trip!
