But don't let that stop you. Cycling with children? We say do!
Is a cycling holiday with children doable?
At a slower pace and with an extra break, the tours for children from 8 years on, on their own bicycle, are easy to do. In the high season there are many families with children and together with the other children it is a varied and adventurous holiday for them. We have child seats or a bicycle trailer available for the little ones.
Do children like a cycling holiday?
Children experience a cycling holiday a bit differently than mom and dad. For children on a cycling holiday the following often applies: the shorter the distance, the more attractive it is. That is why it is important to take the wishes of the children into account. Do not cycle too long stages, do not have to cover distances every day. And of course take enough time along the way for a relaxed picnic, a nice sight or attraction and of course a delicious ice cream! The family cycling holidays of Dutch Biketours are child-friendly and a great experience for young and old.

Cycling holiday with baby or toddler
Would you like to go on a cycling holiday with your baby or toddler? That is certainly not impossible. A comfortable bicycle trailer for your child is a must.
Make sure you cycle short distances with your baby or toddler and stop often. Small children often don't like cycling after a while and they really need a break. Bring a picnic blanket, something to eat and drink and play in a playground: this will make your baby or toddler happy. If they are bigger, those longer distances will come again!
If you would like to read experiences or tips about cycling holidays with young children, you will find many forums on the internet with lots of useful information about cycling with a baby or toddler. Lots of fun!
